The third international Care Ethics Research Consortium (CERC) conference explores the intersections of art, aesthetics, and care, examining how the creative and caring practices of artists, practitioners, care workers, scholars, activists, and others shape our worlds and inspire new directions in care ethics and theory.
Hosted by the University of Humanistic Studies, the Netherlands, the event gathers over 230 international scholars and artists to reflect on the transformative potential of care and dependency work as forms of art, while considering artistic and creative processes as acts of care.
The live conference, taking place in Soesterberg, the Netherlands, from 23-25 January, 2025, is already sold out. This event features plenary lectures, performances, artworks, a roundtable on care aesthetics and care ethics, and paper presentations by more than 120 contributors.
