Call for Abstracts (closes feb 8)This conference to be held in Galway, Ireland, welcomes proposals from delegates for presentations in parallel sessions. Abstracts are invited from the practice, policy, research and academic communities in relation to the conference themes, which are as follows:
Demography – fertility, migration, aging and intergenerational families
Austerity, poverty and social exclusion
Diversity – Migration, post-divorce and separation families
Supporting Families with particular needs and adversities -disability, mental health, homelessness, addiction
Technology in the context of Families
Family in Social Policy
Rights, citizenship, partnership and co-production
All submissions must reflect the overarching aim of the conference and focus on the changing nature and meaning of family and its implications for policy and practice. Abstracts must be submitted by February 28 2019, be no longer than 300 words, and will only be accepted if completed using the attached template. Further details of the variety of presentation types and timelines involved can be found on this template. Expanding on past years’ parallel sessions, we are seeking a variety of presentation formats this year, to include paper presentations, Pecha-Kucha presentations, posters and interactive workshops.
Abstracts will undergo a peer-reviewed process with successful applicants notified by March 20, 2019.
